i know its dumb and its not like logical arguments are going to change their minds, but..

on my way home i bike past the women and children’s hospital and a few times there have been people ‘picketing’ or whatever out front with a sign that says ‘40 days of prayer’ and ‘praying to stop abortion’ with one person standing there quietly reading.

quiet pleasant people with terrible shitty opinions.

but for the resulting 10 minutes after i pass them i think of all the things i want to yell at them. why cant they be yelling and chanting so i can yell back?

“keep your hands off my uterus!”

“how is it any of your goddamn business?”

“it’s not going to work.”

“more like quietly reading to end abortion. also, not going to work.”

then i cycle between anger and rage and confusion for the rest of the ride. ugh.
